This 2024, Toni Gordillo, our beloved chef and a key figure in the gastronomic world of Maresme, has once again been recognized for his culinary excellence: he has been awarded 1 Sun by the Guía Repsol, thus maintaining the recognition that El Hogar Gallego has held since 2013, and he also renews the recommendation from the prestigious Michelin Guide for another year.
Toni’s approach to cooking is a testament to his passion for blending the essence of traditional Catalan cuisine with contemporary touches, creating dishes that are true works of gastronomic art. Educated at the Arnadi Hoffman Hospitality School in Barcelona, and with experience in internationally renowned kitchens such as Ferran Adrià’s El Bulli, Santi Santamaria’s El Racó de Can Fabes, as well as with Jean Luch Figueras (Jean Luch) and Olivier Roellinger (Les Maisons de Bricourt), Toni brings this wealth of experience not only to our restaurant but also to the various and exclusive events held at La Hacienda.

El Hogar Gallego opened its doors in Calella (Barcelona) in 1977. Since then, three generations have passed through its kitchen. Toni Gordillo Bernárdez, son of Antonio Gordillo Lavado, is currently the chef of this seafood restaurant in Calella, which maintains a balance between the market cuisine of his father and the innovation bestowed by his training and stays in some of the country’s finest restaurants. A long career and esteem for excellence that satisfy loyal diners endorse the multiple recognitions. In 1992, the restaurant received the Tourist Diploma from the Generalitat, and since 2013 it has annually maintained the Sun from the Guía Repsol.
